Mariana Enriquez speaking at Benengeli 2025 during the Melbourne Writers Festival conversation with Beejay Silcox

Mariana Enriquez at Benengeli 2025 Melbourne

community event,  event,  non for profit,  photo+video,  public places,  video

Mariana Enriquez at Benengeli 2025 Melbourne At Koshka Media, we travelled to Melbourne to film a special Benengeli 2025 event presented by Instituto Cervantes, featuring internationally acclaimed Argentine author Mariana Enriquez at the Melbourne Writers Festival. The conversation explored literature, horror, memory, politics, and the sensory experience of storytelling – a thoughtful and atmospheric event that deserved to be captured with the same level of care and intention as the discussion itself. For live literary events like this, professional video production plays an important role in preserving not only the words being spoken, but the energy in the room, audience reactions, and the connection between speaker and interviewer. High-quality sound is especially critical. Clear dialogue allows audiences online to fully engage with the conversation without distraction, while multiple camera angles help create a more immersive viewing experience that feels cinematic rather than static. To capture the event properly, we used a multi-camera setup for dynamic coverage from different perspectives, alongside professional audio recording to ensure every word was captured cleanly and clearly. The final film allows the conversation to continue reaching audiences well beyond the theatre itself. We’re grateful to Instituto Cervantes Sydney for having us involved in such a meaningful cultural event. https://youtu.be/xC0lVfY-HsQ Event Photography and Videography for Not for Profit Organisations If you are planning a conference, community event or not for profit gathering, Koshka Media would love to help you capture it with thoughtful photography and video coverage across Sydney.    Related Posts All Post conference non for profit fundraisers Bay to Beach Sydney Harbour Race – Fundraising Event Photography Sydney Read More Guidewire Insurance Forum Sydney 2023 at Four Seasons Hotel Sydney Read More Conference Photography & Videography at PARKROYAL Parramatta Read More Let us make your business look its best! Bay to Beach Sydney Harbour Race – Fundraising Event Photography Sydney

community event,  competition,  event,  fundraisers,  non for profit,  public places,  sporting event

Bay to Beach Sydney Harbour Race Fundraising Event Photography Sydney Sydney Harbour came alive before sunrise as athletes, volunteers, supporters, and fundraising teams gathered for the annual Bay to Beach paddle race – one of Sydney’s most iconic harbour sporting events. This year, Koshka Media was there to provide professional fundraising event photography and sporting event coverage across the entire day. From the quiet moments before sunrise to the energy of the race start and the emotion at the finish line, the event showcased everything that makes Sydney Harbour such an incredible location for charity and community events. Early Morning Atmosphere on Sydney Harbour Long before the race began, the harbour foreshore was already full of activity. Competitors prepared kayaks, paddle skis, and boards while volunteers coordinated registrations and supporters gathered along the waterfront. The atmosphere before the start carried a mix of excitement, focus, and nervous anticipation. Some athletes quietly prepared for the challenge ahead, while others laughed with teammates and supporters as the city slowly woke around them. Sydney Harbour provided a spectacular backdrop for the morning. Calm water, soft sunrise light, ferries moving through the harbour, and views across the Sydney skyline created an unforgettable setting before the race had even begun. For fundraising event photography, these early moments are just as important as the competition itself. The preparation, teamwork, community spirit, and behind-the-scenes atmosphere all help tell the full story of the event. The Energy of the Race Start As the starting horn sounded, the quiet harbour instantly transformed into action. Hundreds of paddlers launched into Sydney Harbour together, creating one of the most exciting and visually spectacular moments of the day. Water sprayed through the air as competitors powered away from the start line surrounded by spectators and some of Sydney’s most recognisable landmarks. Throughout the race, Koshka Media focused on capturing both the intensity of the competition and the atmosphere surrounding the event. From close-up action photography to wide harbour scenes, every image was photographed to showcase the scale, emotion, and energy of the race. Sporting events on Sydney Harbour offer unique photographic opportunities, with the city skyline, open water, and constantly changing light creating dramatic conditions throughout the course. More Than a Sporting Event While competitors raced across the harbour, the atmosphere back on shore remained just as important. Supporters, families, volunteers, and fundraising teams gathered throughout the morning to cheer on participants and support the cause behind the event. The Bay to Beach race proudly supports the Fragile X Association of Australia, helping raise awareness and funds for individuals and families affected by Fragile X syndrome. Events like this play an important role in building community connection and supporting organisations that provide education, advocacy, and ongoing support for families across Australia. The strong community spirit throughout the day showed exactly why charity and fundraising events continue to be such an important part of Sydney’s sporting culture. Finish Line Moments By the finish line, the emotions of the day were written across every face. Athletes arrived exhausted, relieved, proud, and smiling as supporters welcomed them from the shoreline. Some competitors celebrated personal achievements, while others completed the race in support of loved ones or to help raise funds for the cause behind the event. These finish-line moments often become the most meaningful photographs from the entire day. They capture not only the physical challenge of the race, but also the emotion and purpose behind the event itself. Why Professional Event Photography Matters Professional fundraising event photography continues to create value long after the event is over. Strong visual coverage helps charities, sponsors, and event organisers promote future events, attract community support, increase sponsorship opportunities, and build stronger engagement online and across social media platforms. Authentic images of athletes, volunteers, supporters, and the event atmosphere become an important part of promoting the event for years to come. At Koshka Media, we focus on capturing the complete story of sporting and fundraising events across Sydney – documenting not only the action, but also the people, atmosphere, and purpose behind every event. Sneha Chatterjee speaking at the International Women’s Day conference in Parramatta

Conference Photography & Videography at PARKROYAL Parramatta

community event,  conference,  corporate functions,  event,  non for profit,  photo+video,  video

Conference Photography & Videography at PARKROYAL Parramatta Some events stay with you long after the final speech, the last photograph, and the pack down. Koshka Media recently photographed and filmed the conference – Silence to Power: Amplifying Voices for Justice at PARKROYAL Parramatta, an International Women’s Day signature event presented by Settlement Services International (SSI) and the Western Sydney Region Settlement Consortium (WSRSC). Bringing together more than 200 guests, the day centred on the launch of Messages from Captivity: For Ali, for Us All – Amera Ali, a powerful memoir by young Yezidi woman and ISIS survivor Amera Ali. Amera shared words she had written on scraps of paper and hidden in her clothes at just ten years old, messages to her brother Ali, who remains missing. Her story gave the event enormous emotional weight and reminded everyone in the room that bearing witness can be the first act of justice. Photographing and Filming Silence to Power for International Women’s Day One of the most memorable elements of the day was a tree lit with warm lights at the heart of the room. It symbolised one of the last places Amera and her brother were together before ISIS separated them, under a fig tree. As guests left, they hung commitment leaves on its branches, each one representing a promise of action in support of refugee and migrant women’s voices. It was a thoughtful and moving detail that shaped the mood of the event from beginning to end. A Moving Conference Honouring Refugee and Migrant Women’s Voices Throughout the conference, another theme emerged with quiet strength: mothers. Again and again, speakers reflected on the women who carried them through hardship, often with resilience the world never properly acknowledged. That thread connected Amera’s story to the panellists’ experiences and to conversations across the room, reminding everyone that supporting refugee and migrant women means honouring past generations while building better futures for those to come. A powerful idea also stood out across the day: the need to move beyond the phrase lived experience and recognise lived expertise. Refugee and migrant women are not simply sharing stories. They bring insight, knowledge and leadership that should be centred in decision making, policy and practice. As the speakers and panellists made clear, real inclusion means shared power and meaningful leadership at the table. The event also highlighted the work of the organisations behind it. Settlement Services International (SSI) and the Western Sydney Region Settlement Consortium (WSRSC), together with co-hosts and members including SydWest Multicultural Services, Accessible Diversity Services Initiative (ADSI) Limited, Community Migrant Resource Centre, Western Sydney MRC, and event partner 2M Language Services, created a day that felt purposeful, respectful and deeply considered. The venue played its part beautifully. PARKROYAL Parramatta provided a polished and welcoming setting for a conference of this scale, with modern event spaces and a central Western Sydney location well suited to professional and community focused gatherings. Event Photography and Videography for Not for Profit Conferences If you are planning a conference, community event or not for profit gathering, Koshka Media would love to help you capture it with thoughtful photography and video coverage across Sydney and Western Sydney. Instituto Cervantes Sydney Event with Luis Llaneza Photography & Videography Coverage Instituto Cervantes Sydney continues to bring world-class Spanish culture to Australia, and this special event featuring Luis Llaneza was a standout celebration of music, community, and cultural connection. As a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting Spanish language and culture worldwide, Instituto Cervantes plays an important role in connecting communities through meaningful cultural experiences. We had the privilege of providing full photography and videography coverage for the event – capturing both the emotion of the live performance and the atmosphere of the audience experience. A Night of Spanish Music in the Heart of Sydney Hosted at Instituto Cervantes in Sydney, the event welcomed guests into an intimate and vibrant cultural setting. The performance by Luis Llaneza created a powerful focal point for the evening – blending traditional and contemporary Spanish sounds in a way that deeply resonated with the audience. From quiet, emotional moments to energetic musical peaks, the event offered a rich visual and auditory experience. For us, this was about more than documentation, it was about storytelling. Capturing the Event: Photography + Highlight Film At Koshka Media, we specialise in delivering complete event coverage, combining both still photography and cinematic video. For this event, we provided: Event Photography We documented: Live performance moments Audience reactions and engagement Atmosphere and venue details Candid interactions throughout the event Highlight Video We also created a cinematic highlight film that brings the event back to life – capturing movement, sound, and emotion in a way photography alone cannot. This combination allows our clients to relive the event and share it across platforms long after it ends. Why Combine Photography and Videography? Events like this deserve to be experienced in more than one format. Photography preserves key moments with clarity and detail Video captures the energy, sound, and emotion Together, they create a complete visual story – ideal for marketing, social media, and archival purposes. Working with Non-Profit and Cultural Organisations We’re proud to collaborate with organisations like Instituto Cervantes — a non-profit whose mission is centred around cultural exchange, education, and community engagement. Capturing events for non-profit and cultural institutions requires a thoughtful approach – one that balances documentation with storytelling, and reflects the purpose behind each event. This project is part of an ongoing series of events we’ve covered for Instituto Cervantes Sydney, and we look forward to sharing more from this collaboration. Fundraiser Event Photography – Seven Bridges Walk Sydney

community event,  event,  fundraisers,  non for profit,  public places

Sydney Fundraiser Event Photography Seven Bridges Walk Sydney Sydney is home to some of Australia’s most inspiring community and fundraising events, and the Seven Bridges Walk is one of the city’s most recognised charity walks. Bringing together thousands of participants each year, the event celebrates community connection, health, wellness, and support for important causes across Sydney. Koshka Media had the opportunity to professionally photograph the event, capturing the energy, participation, volunteer spirit, and vibrant atmosphere throughout the walk. From families and community groups to corporate teams and individual participants, the event showcased the powerful impact of people coming together for a shared cause. Capturing Community Spirit Through Event Photography As a Sydney event photographer, documenting large-scale community and fundraising events is about more than simply taking photos, it is about telling the story of the people behind the event. The Seven Bridges Walk created countless moments of connection, encouragement, and celebration across the city, and our goal was to capture those moments authentically. The event transformed Sydney’s iconic harbour and surrounding streets into a vibrant gathering of walkers, volunteers, organisers, and supporters. Participants crossed some of Sydney’s most well-known bridges while raising awareness and support for charitable causes and community initiatives. At Koshka Media, we focus on creating natural and engaging imagery that reflects the true atmosphere of an event. From candid interactions and emotional moments to crowd energy and sponsor visibility, professional event photography helps organisations showcase the impact and success of their events long after the day is over. Charity & Non-Profit Event Photography in Sydney Fundraising and non-profit events require a different approach to event coverage. Strong photography not only documents the day itself but also helps charities and organisations build future campaigns, engage sponsors, attract participants, and strengthen community involvement. Whether it is a charity walk, awareness campaign, fundraising gala, sporting event, or community activation, professional photography plays an important role in communicating the spirit and purpose of the event. For the Seven Bridges Walk, our focus included: Capturing participant engagement and crowd atmosphere Highlighting volunteer involvement and community participation Documenting sponsor presence and event branding Creating authentic imagery for future marketing and promotion Showcasing the scale and energy of the event across Sydney These types of images become valuable assets for social media, annual reports, fundraising campaigns, media coverage, and future event promotion. Sporting & Community Event Photography Large community walks and sporting events move quickly, which makes experience essential when photographing them professionally. Anticipating moments, navigating crowds, and capturing authentic interactions in changing environments all contribute to creating a strong visual story. The Seven Bridges Walk combined fitness, community, and fundraising into one inspiring Sydney event. Throughout the day, participants shared moments of achievement, teamwork, and connection while experiencing some of the city’s most iconic harbour views. By blending documentary-style photography with professional event coverage, Koshka Media creates imagery that feels genuine, energetic, and emotionally connected to the people involved.
